Dogs and cats

I have heard so much advice of how to get my cat and dad dog to be friends. I have been keeping Dads dog while we are not home in her room. I did not want her hurting Otis or Otis hurting her serious enough for a vet bills. That what I fear is one of the animals will inflect enough damage on the other one that it will cost me a vet bill. I think the Dog might end up causing me to need to get a new computer if she don’t stop jumping up in my lap when it has my laptop in it.
It’s amazing how both Otis and the Dog want my attention when I am doing homework or working on other things. If I am in the Bathroom if it’s not Otis it’s the dog pushing open my door to visit me. Can’t I take a poop with out help of the pets. Otis has figured out how to open doors which have been closed. I am not sure how he opens the bathroom door when I have latched the door shut, now if I lock the door he can’t get in.
Today I was talking to our caretaker in my building. It doesn’t allow dogs and when we lift for church the dog cried a little bit, well dad can’t remain home 24/7 he needs to be allowed to go places. Today dad wanted to go to church to hear me read the Torah, lol probably could have stayed home because I read it so quitly that just about no one could hear! It will get better with more experience, I get shy sometimes. We where not gone to long and I do not think the dog really cried that much I think it’s just someone wanting to complain about the dog. Just because, because I have lift the dog home alone and normally she doesn’t cry long. Heck she speaks to me to tell me she gotta go potty or she wants foods. It funny because I am the only one who she will speak to.
When I was in the office I told the caretaker when I leave I put the dog in Dad’s room because she been attacking Otis and I do not want Otis hurt. Otis is 20 pounds she said and the dog is 5 pounds and they need to learn Otis will eventually decide to sit on the dog and give it a couple good smacks on with his claws, and yes there maybe blood and some wounds. To just let the dog and the cat out together because it would maybe give the dog someone to be with, eventually they will get along and be close to each other and attached to each other. I am hoping that will be the case. Otis is a paternal cat and what I worry about he’s always been gentle in nature, and I worry that he will allow the dog to eat him.
Tonight we went out to the casino we promise dad he could go. I decided fine I will let Otis and the dog out together. My husband and father in law and even me were concerned for Otis or finding one of them dead. I was in the back of my mind thinking Otis will probably run and high or jump up into a high place. We came home and all was orderly, neither one of the pets where to hurt. When I was getting the dog ready for her walk I noticed it looked like she had a scratch on her nose, looked like something that came from Otis. Otis is still hissing at the dog hopefully soon Otis will stop hissing at her.
