So where I am I staying that I will not stay at again, the Day’s Inn in Worthington Minnesota, on Hwy 59.
I am a little disappointed, I honestly have to say that I have never enjoyed my stay at a Day’s INN. Don’t get me wrong the rooms where clean, and housekeeping did a great job at it. But Customer service I would rate a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10. I am not happy at all with their call center or hotel customer service. This was the case the last time I stayed at a days inn. I will never stay here again. So why am I annoyed, okay I
Online Schools degree in Busines management and you’d think these people would have my text book knowledge down pat. They do not.
First it started with customer service to get a room, for my husband and dad and a room for me. Well I explained to the guy that dad was 88 years old and had a mental health dog that would be staying in a room. This was fine. No problem. The problem came when it was time to finalize the reservation, they deducted the money out of my account right away and did not tell me it would be withdrawn immediately. Fine I have the money in my account it would have been nice to know this so I could have transferred money over form saving to cover, checks if any came through which I had one outstanding. It didn’t go through so I was fine, plus I asked a question about when it would go through my account. I am glad I did this had I not I would have overdrafted my account. Okay fine we got the rooms 2 weeks in advance.
Now we get to the hotel last night, we find out there a 10$ pet fee, okay no big deal. I forgot Dad’s papers for the dog, and Shadow stayed with me. My husband and my rooms where spread far apart. Okay I have the dog I am fine, if someone miss with me she will make nose.
The problem with my room is I asked for non-smoking and expressed to the call center that I have a smoke allergy and it’s important I not be in smoking or near it. Well they placed me right next to a chain smoker, so my breathing has gotten worst. I came here with a start of a allergy attack and now I am in a full blown allergy attack. I can barely talk.
They have deactivated my card, just about every time I leave the room. I am frustrated and stressed by this because I fight to get back in my room and have to go to the office. The same happened to my husband today they deactivated his card to his and dad room. So I am just simply disappointed in the quality of service here. I am actually looking forward to go back home, even though i really enjoy my husband sister and his bio mom who i meet today.
On a positive note, I will say again the room was clean, and I have no troubles with the room

Well my allergies are so bad this year, I have had to take at least 3 different allergy meds, and right now, I am on more than that for simple relief. My throats been bugging me, I know this is allergies because all my pain is by the sinuses in where the nose and throat met. I also know because every time I seen the doctor when I thought I caught something from the kids, I get told allergy flare up. I do not want to be on Prednisone, which they like to put me on when I start breaking out from my allergies. I know how to deal with it, and the frustrating thing is I have more troubles with my allergies when I have the A/C on. My hubby doesn’t seem to get I do not like A/C because it seems to help irritate me more.
So today, I had to run to target to get some more allergy meds and throat drops to help soothe the irritation. The nice thing about everything I got I didn’t have to look to make sure a
barcode scanner was available for me to use to find the prices. Some places you have to hunt down the prices and it nice that the target I go to I normally do not have to look. After target, I had to run to the grocery store and then back home and I am already tired out. I worked today and setting up before our children was hard for me because when allergies get this bad breathing is harder, even my coworker said something. Normally I do not get out of breath to much when moving stuff around, but today I did. Guess I might want to find where my rescue inhaler is I might need it.

Well I guess today is not a day for fishing for us. Oh well that will be fine, I going to need some kind of allergy relief. I hate the Air conditioner because every time it on I get my allergies in a bunch and hubby don’t understand why I don’t like it. He complains about it humid well it doesn’t feel humid to me or even warm now when I cook dinner I will probably put it on to keep the apartment form getting to hot. Drives me nuts how much he uses the AC it warm but not horribly warm like he doesn’t get that if we increase our usage of AC then our payment on electric will increase even if we are on the program which takes our payment over 12months and adds it together and then divide it and make the payments lower. Hubby doesn’t seem to get that if that goes up there less money to use on other things.
I do not like running it because I want my monthly payment to say the same.. So he can suffer, or get a fan on.
To bad we can’t get together with our nephew and do fishing today like we had wanted then hubby would not be complaining about the weather. Maybe we can do it next weekend, if the weather is nice enough.

Oh my goodness, I think I am going to scratch my leg off and need some medical assistance program. I didn’t realize at the cabin I got something. I had a little red patch on my leg, and it still here and it just getting itchier and itchier. Well I looked up on line, I knew it was a bug bite or something.. I never had chiggers or anything like it. It looks like they infected me with their young. They are little vampire all over my leg in that patch of skin and it itches. I am telling I have never itched so bad in my life and I have had chicken pox with measles. I remember that as being unpleasant but this is just not cool. I guess tomorrow I better go to the drug store and get something for me to put on my poor leg before I itch my leg off. If that don’t help in a few days I better go to the doctor and make sure I didn’t get a infection of some type. I been doing nothing but itching. I figured it was a spider bite because I tend to react badly to spiders, so I figure it was that but normally by now I feel better and no itchy.

Well I finally figured out why my allergies and asthma has been so bad, its because of the mold which comes during the great thaw. It looks like spider webs so I was assuming that stuff was from some kind of bug or something. I guess I was wrong, I am still sneezing and not feeling the greatest this season. I think spring is going to be a rough season this year for me.
Last week I could barely taste anything this week I can taste food again. I feel like last week most of it was a Fastin type of week, barely ate anything.
Hopefully the mold will go away soon and I can walk the dog longer, she really wants one, and I think walking her more would be good for me. Taking care of dad and the house get a little boring. I will be glad to go back to work on Monday.

One thing for sure I seem to be always catching stuff from our kids at work. I been sick for a couple of days now, but at least today I am starting to feel a bit better. It’s amazing that at the store the counter displays don’t show different meds which are for sale. It started the other night with a head ache and sore throat and now I am stuff up and have a sore throat.
Yesterday I had to stop at the pharmacist for my rescue inhaler I seem to use it more often when I am sick. I got some cold meds there too, and its amazing how every time I get it they want my id. I know because some of the ingredients in these drugs can be made into some type of drug, but honestly I don’t even know how to do it and have no interest in it.

Normally we do not go to the little casino during the weekend, but dad wanted to go and I didn’t think anything would be wrong with it. During the week the cigerette smoke never gets to me and I still can breath okay, so I thought it would be well enough ventillated tonight. I have asthma which I have talked about before and cigerette smoke always gets gives me troubles with breathing. If we continue to go to the little casino then we will need to go during the week when the smoke isn’t to bad or I might need to find the Blue Advantage face look and that not fun. My lungs still hurt and bugging me when I take a deep breath, or when I walk fast which isn’t a good sign. Means tomorrow I might have trouble if I can’t sleep well. I don’t go to the doctor unless I am really bad and can’t breath at all this is a allergy type of problem and will go away in a day or two with taking my meds.

It seems like Spring might be finally here. I love Spring, Summer and Falls, I don’t exactly care for Winter months. The past couple of days have been nice, yesterday we had some rain at night but rain is a good thing for growing and it needed.
Even though I am sneezing a lot right now because I keep forgetting to take my Allergy meds, I love Spring, watching flowers grow and birds pick on my cat Otis. Otis every morning when I leave for work looks out the window for me. Tonight my husband came home and wanted to go for a walk with me, I didn’t exactly feel up to walking because my ankle still a little tender. I manage to almost twist my other ankle again that would have been cute. My husband and I walked around a very long block it was at least a couple of miles but it felt so nice. This would have been prefect weather for fishing today, it wasn’t to cold nor to hot, the fish probably would have been happy to bite.
I wish Hubby and I could walk like this almost every day but I know he don’t like walking. Walking is a good way to loss weight if it is fast and brisk, so is swimming. Maybe it will release some prohormones for us or something and make us happier. During the winter I start getting cabin fever half way through that does not go away until Spring time. Normally Winter means I do not go out much and no walking which I like to do. The severe cold triggers my asthma so I have to stay inside more. My husband doesn’t like walking, so often if I want to walk it by myself and that not so fun. I hope tomorrow I am not going to regret standing on my foot half the day and then walking a distance, but I just couldn’t pass it up when he wanted to go for a walk. It might be a month before he asks again.

I have lived with asthma which sometimes can cause a lot of problems for me. A few years ago when it was at it worst, I had to be on FMLA in order to keep my job. I had another friend who I had advise to get this because she had worst and more medical problems then I. FMLA is Family Medical Leave Act, my boss advise me to do this because she didn’t want to fire me and I had already missed almost all my absentees for the year. At the time I had fairly good health benefits, and had a very low co payment.
My best friend has Fibromyalgia it is very hard for her, she also has a lot of other medical problems. She like me works, and tries to keep her Health Insurance through her company because not many insurance companies want to cover preexisting conditions. Some companies will require you have them for a year before they deal with the preexisting conditions. Her like me when times where hard tired to get help through the state but never could seem to get on health insurance, because we where able body and where earning a little bit of money each month just enough to not be able to get their help.
Health problems is something people have to deal with, and go through. My husband parents have problems due to aging, they are covered by Dad old job Health insurance and medicare I am glad they are cover by that I am not sure if it is medicare part d or what it is.
Right now even through I have job that offers health benefits, I am not working so I am not getting those benefits which means, I can’t deal with my asthma with meds. I know there are many commercials out there if you can’t afford your meds we will help you. Well that great if a person can see there doctor.

Okay how do you get 32 a month on a machine which costs 899 but was marked down to 699, and get it paid off in a year. Their add just does not add up to me. Mom and dad has someone trying to sell them a air purifier, that is 899 and they are trying to get mom and dad to make monthly payments on this. First Mom and dad have a air Purifier, so what wrong with their current one.

Today we where going to make a trip down to mom and dad but before we lift, we found out that there was a blizzard warning, so we decided it was safer to remain here and go next weekend. While talking to mom and dad we found out they decided not to get this air purifier, I am worried because the sales person seems to be very pushy and I do not want her to be pushy with mom and dad.

Mom and Dad deserve to be on vacation with at a place like Hilton Head rental and not worrying about bills and paying someone else their money for a product they probably can do with out. I was fairly disturbed this morning when the lady was telling me, mom and dad told her I have allergies and this air purifier was a cure all. When people start telling me it will heal my allergies and asthma it worries me for other people. I do not fall into this trap very easily because I know from experience not to stop meds or claim oh gee it takes away asthma. I will say my asthma has gotten better since I have been more careful with what I am eating. Food allergies are really the only thing a person to deal with because you just have to remove that irritants in your diet. Respiratory allergies due to pollen and other things like it I do not believe can be cured by a air purifier because those will always be in the air.

Next weekend we will need to go and find out where mom and dad are financially, talk to their neighbors who are preparing meals, and cleaning for them. We need to find out how they are doing and if there are any more concerns for their well being.
