Just Pass Me By

So where I am I staying that I will not stay at again, the Day’s Inn in Worthington Minnesota, on Hwy 59.
I am a little disappointed, I honestly have to say that I have never enjoyed my stay at a Day’s INN. Don’t get me wrong the rooms where clean, and housekeeping did a great job at it. But Customer service I would rate a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10. I am not happy at all with their call center or hotel customer service. This was the case the last time I stayed at a days inn. I will never stay here again. So why am I annoyed, okay I
Online Schools degree in Busines management and you’d think these people would have my text book knowledge down pat. They do not.
First it started with customer service to get a room, for my husband and dad and a room for me. Well I explained to the guy that dad was 88 years old and had a mental health dog that would be staying in a room. This was fine. No problem. The problem came when it was time to finalize the reservation, they deducted the money out of my account right away and did not tell me it would be withdrawn immediately. Fine I have the money in my account it would have been nice to know this so I could have transferred money over form saving to cover, checks if any came through which I had one outstanding. It didn’t go through so I was fine, plus I asked a question about when it would go through my account. I am glad I did this had I not I would have overdrafted my account. Okay fine we got the rooms 2 weeks in advance.
Now we get to the hotel last night, we find out there a 10$ pet fee, okay no big deal. I forgot Dad’s papers for the dog, and Shadow stayed with me. My husband and my rooms where spread far apart. Okay I have the dog I am fine, if someone miss with me she will make nose.
The problem with my room is I asked for non-smoking and expressed to the call center that I have a smoke allergy and it’s important I not be in smoking or near it. Well they placed me right next to a chain smoker, so my breathing has gotten worst. I came here with a start of a allergy attack and now I am in a full blown allergy attack. I can barely talk.
They have deactivated my card, just about every time I leave the room. I am frustrated and stressed by this because I fight to get back in my room and have to go to the office. The same happened to my husband today they deactivated his card to his and dad room. So I am just simply disappointed in the quality of service here. I am actually looking forward to go back home, even though i really enjoy my husband sister and his bio mom who i meet today.
On a positive note, I will say again the room was clean, and I have no troubles with the room

I have to admit I am a little dismayed here. This morning I was listening to the radio, once again I found myself wanting to yell at parents and listeners. We are so quick to throw lawsuits at companies this is not good. So the problem is that parents or some stupid advocate feels that Mc Donald’s happy meals lure children in and make their parents bring them in for unhealthy food. So they do not want the toys in the happy meal. Okay even as a child, when we went to Mc Donald they had happy meals with toys and my sister and I loved them. We wanted happy meals but my mom would sometimes say “NO” and if we threw a stink, we were not going to be eating there. We could go home and simply eat something not as nice, or get a spanking.
We need to stop placing blame on Mc Donald’s and start taking responsibility for our own action as individuals and parents, and stop looking for a way to make other be responsible for us. I am so sick of hearing on the news or radio about lawsuits against companies for childish crap. If a parent does not want it child eating a happy meal how hard is it to say no, or not today or anything. Plus the happy meal compared to when I was a child is healthy now you get choice of apples or fries, or milk or soda. This does not sound unhealthy to me, it gives healthy choices with not so healthy choices and frankly it the parents responsibility to make the child pick the healthy choice, or not to allow their child to eat only unhealthy food. This is not Mc Donald’s, Burger King, or Taco Bells job to ensure we make healthy choices on their menu; it is our responsibility. These restaurants are all fast foods so when we order we ought to be responsible and ask for calories not sue them because they might offer a child a toy with their meal. I think it great that a child can get a little toy to play with and have fond memories of their time out to dinner with their parents, or whomever they are with. The problem here is not Mc Donald’s it is the parents, who do not want to look like the bad guy because gee we can’t tell our kid no.
Kids need to learn the word no, they need to understand it okay that they do not always get what they want. They need to learn that material does not equal the amount of love their parent have for them. It like when kids get old enough to get zits and a parent makes them take
acne vitamins in hope it will help them, they might hate doing it but the parent is trying to do right by their child.
Do I agree with swatting a child on the bottom when he is being naughty and making a scene yes I do. I think parents now days are so scared to punish their child, which they simply do not. We need to teach our children and some kids need the swat on the backside and some kids simply need to be talked too. Before my mom got into drugs and alcohol, she never abused us kids. However when we were bad we got it. I can think of two times my mom spanked us kids, once when I lied to protect my sister after she got caught stealing. I was spanked because I had lied and mom found out I always took the blame for my big sister to try to keep her out of trouble. I learned something that day. I tell you what I never lied to protect my sister or anyone again. After I was spanked and mom lift us in our room after restricting both us girl. She came back a few hours later and asked me do u know why I spanked you, and you’re on restriction. She explained very clearly that lying to protect anyone was wrong, lying was not okay, and she wasn’t going to have it in the home. The other time I got spank is when I called her a bad name, as a small kid.
I earned what she did, I can think of one time she smacked me before her stupidness. Where she should have explained and spoke to me. I was an innocent child and asked a question, but looking back at it. I understand why she reacted the way she did, but it took me until I took history and learned about what happened in Germany that I understood why my mom got so angry with me. I will say I never learned the lesson that day, but my actions stuck in my mind as something that hurt and upset my mom that day.
When discipline is used correctly it will not permanently damage the child it could teach them respect. Now I am not saying spanking the kid first and then talking is the way to go. I think it best to speak and then to use something else. My mom would first, speak, than restriction and then spanking if we did not improve our behavior. It is up to the parents to shape their child not up to others. The school is there to help and educate the child but it the parent’s responsibility to teach morals and ethics.

I have never realized how hard it can be to find pants, our whole date night last night was spent looking for pants for hubby, gooly a rubber stamp would have been easier to find with his name on it, than pants. I ended up getting him 2 nice pairs of paints at Kohls. The sales guy there was very helpful, so was the young lady we found. At Wal-mart we got a little frustriated with the lack of good chooses. Normally I will not suggest a store which I can find great clearance sales because Kohls I can always find good stuff for low prices if no where else. I also found a couple of skirts I like and will end up getting later.
The young man who help my husband was very helpful, made my day easier because I didn’t have to tell my husband a couple pair of pants made him look like a stuffed suassage. The guy was able to help hubby pick more colors in his paints then the 1 or two color he already had. I was only able to get him 2 pairs of paints, so know he has 3 good pairs of paints maybe next month, I can get him one more pair of paints this way he will have enough pants and they won’t get wholey in his butt. Hubby and I both have a habit of not getting what we need until it an important need, my paints for work I just bought in Jan are already to big on me and about to fall off. I think I might want to get a new pair of pants or two soon, but I felt hubby needs were a little more important so I took care of it.

I think Kohls in Eagan has some great staff by what I saw yesterday and I am glad hubby and I want to find him some clothes to ware. Thank goodness his shirts for summer were gotten at the end of summer last year. I hate shopping.

You wanna know why sometimes dogs bite the postman. I think I understand why they don’t like postmen, well it because they just aren’t organized. Normally we do not have problems here and our postal worker is good at their job. I honestly have to say I am annoyed with them. Our apartment building for some reason had 2 different postman working today.
Today I got a noticed in my mail box saying there a package down in the office. The mail person was here at a little after 10am, I noticed this because he came while I was eating my breakfast. I decided to go and check the mail and there was a package slip in my box. Why did they not knock on my door, I was home all day and would have gladly open it. Well I decided I go down to management at around noon, I figured a little over a hour would be long enough to have a package there. No packaged, now we was expecting one. Management told me no postal worker was in yet.
Management told me there a new person today so I told them I come back in a couple hours, came back close to 2pm. Still the package was not there, so I told them I would come back later in the afternoon. I went back down at around 420, still no package and they told me the mail man was already there. Now I am worried.
I called my husband and let him know, his package hadn’t came and he needed to call the post office. My husband told the lady what I told him. I think the woman there had herexterior shutters closed, because she told my husband that the mailman didn’t come until the afternoon. Well I know for a fact what time they came because I never sleep until 1pm in the afternoon. She pretty much told my husband we where stupid and that she would call back when the mail person got back to the post office. My husband tried to defend me but she wanted nothing to do with that. I asked if he asked to speak to a supervisor and he said she was it. So know we are unhappy with the service provide and can’t really go to anyone and talk about the problem we are having with them. I will watch the mail and if problems get worst I will report it to someone else if I gotta become a pain I will.
They don’t know what their mail people are doing, I don’t care if he wasn’t supposed to be here till the afternoon. He came in the morning a little after 10am, I think I would know more of that then they would because I was home watching the cars go through the parking lot since I have nothing better to do. I really hope that this isn’t going to start being like my old apartment building. I really don’t wanna have to add the expenses of a postal box to my bills.
About 10 minutes later the Postal worker from the Post Office called him back and told us that all packages where just lift at the office at 430, I told my husband I would run over and see if it was there. So the slips in my box a little after 10 am and doesn’t show up to the office until after 430, whats wrong with that picture. I know it wouldn’t take the post man that long to do 2 buildings.

Tonight my husband and I decided to go out to eat, I have pretty much cleaned my house for this coming week. So honestly I didn’t want to do a whole lot of cooking. My husband decided to treat us to Falaffel King tonight. This is a very nice little restaurant. The dance came up to me and asked if I wanted to dance with her. Well today it’s been like I have had 2 left feet and frankly there were a lot of people there and I am not that outgoing. I am fairly shy in groups. We really enjoy the Falaffel King wait staff is good, and always courteous to us. Probably a good thing I didn’t go up and dance with her probably would have broken something or hurt her.
Tonight I was sharing with my husband a dream I had last night. We where working on a project in the dream with some shelves that just wouldn’t stop moving. Maybe it a resemblance of how I feel lately with work. I was speaking with my hands which I often do. Sometimes it gets me in trouble expecially when I have my glass in front of me! Well I ended up wearing my Dr. Pepper. Oh no, thank goodness it not cold our now.
My husband caught our waiter attention he came over right away, and I ran to the bathroom. Don’t worry wasn’t going to cry over spilled pop. Sticky it may be but it no crying matter, took some of there paper towels to try to dry my pants off as much as possible. By the time I got back they had cleaned the table, and one of the busboys was taking care of the seat for me. I was going to just throw my jacket over it I figure my miss so clean it up.
They have the nice cushions on their booths they are comfortable maybe not as comfortable as an adjustable beds but they are comfortable. The young man brought out a couple of towels for me to sit on. My husband ended up being some lift over homes tonight to, he order some Falaffel. Even through the wait suggested I try their chicken Pita. Normally when I go out to eat at unique places I don’t eat Chicken. I get plenty of Chicken and it nice changing my diet a little. I had order their Falaffel Pita which was yummy! I telling you I didn’t even need their dipping sauce it would be good on it own. This is one of the few places I will eat the Tomatoes normally I don’t like anyone tomatoes but what I grow on my own.
They have wonderful Customer service at Falaffel King and my husband and I look forward to our next visit. It fun watching their dancer dance, I can’t say my husband watches them dance, but I know I do.

I have lived with asthma which sometimes can cause a lot of problems for me. A few years ago when it was at it worst, I had to be on FMLA in order to keep my job. I had another friend who I had advise to get this because she had worst and more medical problems then I. FMLA is Family Medical Leave Act, my boss advise me to do this because she didn’t want to fire me and I had already missed almost all my absentees for the year. At the time I had fairly good health benefits, and had a very low co payment.
My best friend has Fibromyalgia it is very hard for her, she also has a lot of other medical problems. She like me works, and tries to keep her Health Insurance through her company because not many insurance companies want to cover preexisting conditions. Some companies will require you have them for a year before they deal with the preexisting conditions. Her like me when times where hard tired to get help through the state but never could seem to get on health insurance, because we where able body and where earning a little bit of money each month just enough to not be able to get their help.
Health problems is something people have to deal with, and go through. My husband parents have problems due to aging, they are covered by Dad old job Health insurance and medicare I am glad they are cover by that I am not sure if it is medicare part d or what it is.
Right now even through I have job that offers health benefits, I am not working so I am not getting those benefits which means, I can’t deal with my asthma with meds. I know there are many commercials out there if you can’t afford your meds we will help you. Well that great if a person can see there doctor.

This morning we woke up with a note slid under our door, from management. I guess this is just some more bad news for my husband and I to have to deal with. They have decided to raise the price of washing and drying 25 cents each. That will be 3 dollars a load washing and drying both, which isn’t good but it could be worst because I have a few friends who pay more for laundering their clothes then we do but still this is just another increase that we have to compensate for.
When my husband and I go grocery shopping we are spending way more then what we used to. For the same items. I used to be able to get way with 70 bucks for 2 weeks. Now we are lucky if our bill is less then 70 a week, most weeks it at least 80 bucks just to get what we need for that week. Gas in the car, well I almost don’t want to go on job interviews now because I am worried about having enough gas to get me through till payday, because I am starting to feel going for something that turns out unfruitful isn’t wise. If I do not get the job I used gas which could possible get me to a job interview that would be fruitful. I am like in a rock in a hard place because right now with the cost of gas I have to be extra careful.
The only thing that hasn’t changed for most of my friends is their car insurance but maybe we aught not to count our blessings just yet. Even our over the counter allergies meds cost has increase, the price of cat litter increase with all the increase and barely working enough hours to keep a float, I owe the IRS money. Just lovely.

What’s the point of internet banking, when it never works for me. A week ago, I called my bank to reset my password and user name. I had not used internet banking because it was to much of a hassle. I would go and enter my user name and password correctly and then it would lock me out of my account. This gets old fast. Last week when I talked to the guy from my bank he said it should be easier now. I guess the jokes on me because it was not any easier. I still think Phone Banking is easier then Internet banking and I am good with the internet.

This morning I get up to find out how much I was paid from work, it would have saved me a headache just waiting until my pay stub arrived! i get on line check emails and a couple of other things. It time to go over to my bank site, I enter in my user name and password, and it tells me username or password is not valid. What! are you serious. So I retired it with the exact same user name, and Typed in the letters to my Password very slowly watching each letter as I hit it. I know this is the password I used for the bank because it what I wrote down for the bank account on my book for the bank. Then I get this stupid message call the bank because you’ve been locked out of your account.

This happens every time! It does not matter if my password is right or wrong, it tells me to contact the bank. Now I have just wasted time talking to them on the telephone but yet they can not tell me what I am doing wrong or why I can not get into my bank account. This is insane! It hasn’t got any better for me, I am almost positive that I am not the only one who banks there with this problem.

It seems there are so many law suites lately, lets see we have that air born and the gift card thing going on. I am glad about the air born thing being brought to light it is important, expecially with the claims they have made. A few months ago my husband suggested I try it but I read the ingredients and figure it wasn’t a good idea for me. I believe if my memory serves me right they had a sweetener in it. So we didn’t get it normally I don’t try those, now I will try some home remedies some of them work pretty good. One that my husband and I have found is Cider vinegar and raw honey this works pretty good for congestion due to allergies. I am not saying it a cure but it helps some, it also feels good going down a sore throat because of the postnasal drip.
My husband a couple days ago was talking to me about supplements for weight loss and health. Weight loss supplements worry me the most, because those are the one which can cause heart trouble in some people. So as a loving wife I told my husband don’t do it when he told me he was going to try some supplements. I was worried it was for weight, but then he told me it was for heart health. I told him okay but be careful.
I think sometimes we can get obsessed with how to lose weight and being thin. I think the best way is by diet and exercise, and making sure that not to much weight is being lost.
Now moving on to the Companies and their gift cards, this isn’t going to pass well. People have paid for their products, or their gifts for other people, and frankly the card is not worth a whole lot of money and they should honor them. They should not have sold gift cards if they where in that much financial trouble, they should have only sold their products. I would be angry if I got someone a gift card and it was not honored, not to mention I would be embarrassed. These companies need to honor their sales and those gift certificates is like money. Why should they get to keep money which is not really theirs, there was no product traded so the money on that card is not their it is who ever owns the cards. I honestly will be shocked if the courts lets them get away with this what this is, is cooperate robbery against their customers.

why buy.com rocks I recently found them through another site, and people had recommended I should go there to find some of the things I needed. I have always been very leery of shopping on line, because of a few very bad experiences. Well after a enough people told me, Hey take a look at this, I am very tempted to try to purchase something on line there. I have been wanting a blue tooth for my cell phone, they have for a little less then where I normally go.. My ears aren’t very large and it seems a lot of them are made for people with big ears, I found one I like a lot but it was 90 bucks with my cell phone company and a few other stores I go to. They have such a wide range of products, I am actually excited, and I think I might be able to find my husband a birthday present this year on line and not have to worry about going into the mall, which I hate. They even have coupons upon checking out powered by Google. They are also supported by Actors and Actress who show up to give them some advertising to help promote their products, with this I think they must be doing pretty good and must be a honest company.I was surprise to see that they sold DVDs, TVs, Computers both desk top and lap tops, cell phone and their accessories, DVD Players, Video games for most gaming system, and the list goes on.
