Just Pass Me By

Don’t honk, don’t cut me off, just pass me by!

Seems like More commercials

Lately I have been watching a lot of Tv, there are a couple of programs my husband and I really like. It nice having the Direct Tv DVDR. Last night one of our shows was on but because we had a dinner, we couldn’t watch it.
You know it seems lately that commercials are becoming longer, and some of them are so often played they actually are getting annoying. The Geiko commercials personally I don’t think they are very creative, and that little lizard thing is getting annoying, he was cute at first but got over used. Then their caveman commercial is simply just dumb. Some commercial leave you asking what was that all about.
Last night after our friends lift hubby wanted to watch some TV for a bit, and there was a commercial on that he wasn’t sure if it was for Tiger Woods painting with his golf clubs or the vehicle at the end of the commercial. Commercials have differently became unclear on most things.
One commercial I have always like is one of the auto insurance online, it comes off as a cartoon and it’s for auto insurance. The company changes their commercials from time to time, haven’t seen many of their commercials.
One thing I’d like to know is why local news channels feel the need to advertise during some shows, everyone knows there news is going to be on at 10pm or what ever time and if they want to watch their news it will be tuned in. I don’t always mind when they advertise special stories but why advertise their weather or other well known News reports.

Buy.com

why buy.com rocks I recently found them through another site, and people had recommended I should go there to find some of the things I needed. I have always been very leery of shopping on line, because of a few very bad experiences. Well after a enough people told me, Hey take a look at this, I am very tempted to try to purchase something on line there. I have been wanting a blue tooth for my cell phone, they have for a little less then where I normally go.. My ears aren’t very large and it seems a lot of them are made for people with big ears, I found one I like a lot but it was 90 bucks with my cell phone company and a few other stores I go to. Ouch, can’t justify spending that right now. At buy.com they have a similar one for under 60 bucks and a couple I found for well a lot less then 60.
I am excited about that and to be honest it is a temptation to spend it there.I heard they are offering 10 bucks off to new shoppers and some free shipping offers. They have such a wide range of products, I am actually excited, and I think I might be able to find my husband a birthday present this year on line and not have to worry about going into the mall, which I hate. Buy.com is a great option for people like me who just don’t want to have to deal with crowds at the mall, or traffic especially around the holidays. They even have coupons upon checking out powered by Google. They are also supported by Actors and Actress who show up to give them some advertising to help promote their products, with this I think they must be doing pretty good and must be a honest company.I was surprise to see that they sold DVDs, TVs, Computers both desk top and lap tops, cell phone and their accessories, DVD Players, Video games for most gaming system, and the list goes on. That’s why buy.com rocks

On line safety is a must

The first thing I hard this morning was on the news. I normally turn it on for background noise or to find out what the weather will be. They where talking about a young women, who lost her life because of trusting someone on the internet. This is sad, and should never happen, sadly it does happen. Now days we can not believe someone is who they are claiming to be, we don’t know if they are safe or not. What is really amazing is many parents do not have any clue what their children are doing on the internet or just how much trouble they may fine.

Parents know what your kids are doing even if they will hate you for it. Later when they get older they will be thankful for it. I wish my mom was more protective of my sister and I, she wasn’t. I have a nephew who I am very concerned about because he has a page, personally I believe it’s giving out way to much information and is putting him in danger of selfish ugly predators. His mom claims she don’t have control over what her 12 year son does. Well that is a bunch of bull.

This world isn’t anything like it was about 10 to 15 years ago, there where more people who where trust worthy. Now days trusting someone you have never met could get you killed, you could have just signed a death sentence. I am sorry to be so strong with this, I am just so tired of seeing TV Programs, hearing the news, and reading the paper and reading about young people who have their lives destroyed or taken from them.

When on line do not give out your telephone number, your address or any information that will help a person find where you live. I know, I have given my telephone number and address to a few people and it ended up being okay. With that being said I gave it out and got to live for a few months in fear, that was one of the worst experiences I have had on line.

People can be trusted just make sure you know they are trustworthy before trusting them. Don’t let your kids unsupervised on the internet is like giving them a poisonous tamed snake, one day it will strike when they are feeding it.
