Just Pass Me By

Don’t honk, don’t cut me off, just pass me by!

kitty food for dinner

Otis is talkative lately. He’s been curious about dad, and what’s dad doing. Otis seems to have accepted my husband dad which is good, probably can sense that he depress or upset… Today we went to church and spend the whole day there then we stopped for gas and then went to the store to pick up some stuff.
I feel feeling a little frustrated with everything right, now. Kitty been meowing a hole lot. Otis seems to think he wants to be heard. I told them I would make dinner after hubby got up from his nap, and Otis decided he have to add his meowing. Guess he telling me he would like cat food for dinner. He got a full dish of food so I know he happy. It seems the older he gets the more talkative he gets.
I will be glad when this month is over. Just one more day.
Dad is thinking he may stay here but he changes his mind every 10 minutes. I kind of need to know what he going to be doing so I can plan my schedule for school better, and spending time with hubby who I honestly don’t wanna spend time with right now.
Tomorrow I will jump on line and look for more job I wonder who long before Otis will meow… I have even looked into some home businessbut haven’t found the right thing there neither.

Poor kitty

My best friend has one of the sweetest cats I have met. His been sick since day one, and many of her other friends told her to put the cat down. He got kidney problems, and now he got problems with his stomach and he has cat asthma, so he always on steriods of some type. I feel bad for her because there are months she bring in her cat at least 2 if not 3 times.
On some levels I agree with her friends, but I also put another clause in it, which is if the cat is eating drinking and playing, then he okay. I don’t see the point of putting down a cat unless its in to much pain or stops playing and eating or drinking because it clear he not having a good life.
Lately my friend has been a little bit holier then thou coming across on messenger I know that not her intention, so I over look it. This week I got a little annoyed with her because on my birthday she was texting me about her cats problem and never once asking how I was doing. I not made at the no happy birthday no big deal but lately she been doing a lot of the tell me all her problems but never bother to ask how I am doing. I am not mad but it’s annoying sometimes.
To bad getting pet insurance isn’t as easy as finding good cheap auto insurance. What they need is a medical plan for her cat, and for their new baby kitty. I think the hardest thing for her will be when the time comes to do the right thing, I just hope she doesn’t leave him suffer when it time for him to be let go off. I know it sounds cruel but it’s not. I believe our pets should be given a lot of care and compassion and to let them live with horrible pain is wrong. Now Otis my cat if he ever so sick that it’s more pain for him I know it be hard for me to make that call but I have already decided if he ever got cancer I would probably end up needing to put him down. I would leave him live as comfortable as possible but when he got uncomfortable I would say that was enough.
My friend feels like a bad mommy to her cat, but honestly it nothing she done because he always been a sick cat and that not something she caused.

Oh, No it’s gonna get me

You know those people who walk around with those blowers, they work great on leaves and fallen small branches. Otis why at his clawing post perch thing, they came walking by the building he got into a small little coarch type of stance and started walking toward me, with his ears back.
He wanted nothing to do with that loud noise but hey I can’t blame him niether because I don’t like it niether. Now I will have to go out and clean off my balcony.
Otis went and hid behind my coach after a couple minutes he did something I have not seen him do when he gets scared. I have my sewing machine between the coach and the wall in the living room, Otis went to the sewing machine and put his 2 front paws up and look from his little hidding place he made for him self and watched what they were doing.
Grant it when Otis is scared or alarmed I will tell him it’s okay, it can’t get you. Otis I wouldn’t call him a shy cat but I wouldn’t call him out going, I will say he improved a lot since I first got him. It used to be when something scared him he would hide in somewhere for the entire day. So this is a improvement for Otis considering he is back in here, sneefing my toes.

Otis has another hiding place

There are 3 places I do not want Otis to get behind, well maybe more places if we count into. Those places are, my husband computer area, behind the tv furniture the peice I recently got, and behind my computer disk area. I worry about him getting into trouble with all those electric cords so I am good at chasing him away from there.
Our new TV Stand is nothing like the old one where there was no space for Otis to be underneath it. Right now I have put some notebooks, and on of my school writting manuels and a phonebook and a box for my laptop fan. I decided to do this to try to discourage Otis from hiding underneath there. Otis is a strong cat and you’d think as big as he is he wouldn’t want to be under the TV Stand I guess Otis like the tight little places. He seems to have all his hiding places in tight corners of the house. One place is in my closet behind my wedding dress there is where if he steals stuff from us he will move it there or in his cat litter. He been hanging out in my clean clothes basket all day today. I should put them clean clothes away to discourage him from living in my basket and go back to his favorite chair at least I think it is since that’s where all his hair is. I can’t tell you how often I clean the chair and still looks like a missing cat is there. I think all of Otis weight is in hair not in body weight, when I give him a bath he looks like a drawned rat, but yet he 20 pounds. Like to know where he been hiding his weight. Today he hasn’t done a lot of meowing guess yesterday he got enough attention to last him awhile. Cats need attention but they just don’t want us to believe that, they like us owner thinking there independent. Now I will have to start looking for him unders the TV Stand since that where I found him when I got up the first time.

Meow

Someone has inserted my cat with a bunch of quarters he been so hyper lately. I wish I had his engery to day. He woke me up at 5am wanting to play, then he wanted lift alone. Good I can go back to sleep, then he started running around the apartment around 9am. Didn’t want nothing to do with me while I was sitting with no homework in my lap. I figure get my homework done first and start looking for a new job. I might have a job but I don’t know yet, waiting to find out if it coming through or not I hope it does because it will be a work at home type job. I would do well with it too, it wouldn’t be to hard even through it require a little of learning how to do it, but I am sure learning the tasks at hand won’t be to difficult considering I am almost done with my degree and having computer intellegences..
I got my laptop booted up to start on my homework, I had 3 discussion questions and to finish my part of the learning team assignment. Otis was laying in the blue round seat, we got when we first moved in, used to be hubby favorite seat. I like the seat but it’s a little uncomfortable not like nice theater seating. No sooner then I got my computer in my lap otis was meowing.
I called him over he came and I went to pet him. He ran to his scratching post, and tore through the living room to the bedroom back out and almost slamped into the window. A couple minutes go by and he back at meowing by the office door and master bedroom. The doors open so I know he can get to his place. After about 10 minutes I got tired of him meowing.. So I went to go get him and did the run through out the entire house and into the bedroom. I picked him up, he right away did the paws around the nick and did the hug thing. Otis is a strong cat, I don’t think it has anything to do with he’s 20 pounds but onces he found the hug position he don’t like to give it up.
I sat down with him and pulled my laptop back up. I am going to get done with everything one way or another. Otis after 5 minutes wanted down, huh you think I going to let you go. I kept him until I only had a paragraph lift to go on my paper, don’t worry it only took me a half hour to type it up. Could have been worst and been an over 1000 word assignment. I got my paper done, and responded to my DQs, and looked on the sites for jobs and still haven’t found anything very promising other then that one lead.

Come, Come here

Someone put a quarter in Otis over the last couple of days. He will come up, go to pet him and he runs as fast as he can into the next room, and then he mews. So I call him Come, and he mews some more and I say Come here Otis. He will run into the living room look right at me and mew. Come here, and then pat the chair so he comes sits by it or puts his 2 front paws on the chair. but don’t go to pet because he will be off to run and hide.
I try to watch his food dish sometimes he goes through it faster than his normal speed. Last night I caught it just about empty while he was eating, so I filled it up. Otis has been looking out the window a lot mewing I wonder if he trying to call his friend. It seems there another small squirrel who taken interest in the cat and the middle pot. Maybe I aught to put some nuts in the pot this way they have a reason to dig it up, but then they become to depedent on a human and that never a good thing in apartment building so I won’t do that. If I lived on my own land I think I would do that so they would leave alone my plants. I wonder if squirrels have territories if that why it was always the one squirrel that come over to visit me.
Speaking of pets I don’t know where Otis is, well I know he is somewhere around. I would love to get otis a playmate might help him but not sure if I want it to be another kitty or if I want it to be a pet rat or something like it. I wonder if orovo detox would be effective on female cats.

I’m trying to sleep here

I think it time for me to keep Otis awake during the day when I am home. He’s been very talkative at night, not to mention sometimes he thinks it’s time to play. When I try to grab him he runs the other direction and then meows at me. Got clean food and water down, so I know he happy as far as that is. Now when I grab his little lucky rabbit leg looking thing, he shows interest in playing with it.
Have you ever noticed how cats will lay in the strangest positions, I am starting to wonder how they get their bodies so turned with out hurting.
If I was to lay like my cat does I would have a crick in my neck for a year. He likes laying on the chair next to the coach with his head laying on direction and his back half turned a different direction, like his chest is up and his stomachs down. This morning when I woke up I figured it was fair to disturb his sleep and mess with his stomach. Maybe if I keep him up when he wants to sleep he will learn to leave me sleep, or if he wants attention to come up right away when I call him and not play the run away game.
His squirrel friend I haven’t seen around lately, but I think he’s making a mess out of my plants. Maybe the squirrel is trying to build his family cheap hotels. Should see this little guy his comical has tried to get into the apartment, not sure why he would because we don’t feed him or any of the wild life here. Maybe he just interested in us for some reason.

How’d she do it

Today we went down to mom and dad’s, spent a couple hours. They have a tiny dog, she a mini Dobby, I believe. She will go in the house when I am not there but for some reason if I am visiting she knows better and will give the signal I gotta go potty. So I put her outside.
My husband and I had to run to supper Wal-mart to get mom and dad some stuff. I don’t mind doing this I figured it helps them and that what’s important. We also had to run to Wal-mart to return the bluetooth thing we got the last time we was there. Normally they don’t accept returns on electronics after a week but they made the exception when I explained I hurt my ankle which was nice of them.
We got back home and the dog was back in, mom said she got off the chain in the yard. Okay I know I had that on her securely. So I didn’t understand why, and hoped mom didn’t go out there and get her. I went out and check on the thing and it looked like it was unfastened. Okay maybe I just didn’t do it tight enough.
After a while the dog wanted back out, and I put her out on her chain. She gets out of the yard which isn’t safe for her. She gets into trouble. I made sure I clasped it tightly when I put her out there, once again she got off of it. So I checked the stupid thing again after getting her, in the house. Now I see the stupid thing had lost it’s springyness to it. Oh well..
I wonder if dogs can havetravel insurance, I think this little one needs it.

Jumpy are we

Otis, is jumpy today. My husband and I where talking, having a tense conversation. Otis went to walk by him, hubby moved his foot just repositioning and the cat jump and did the hunch back with hair sticking up. Otis has always been leery of men, so maybe the tension in the room made him nervous. I am wondering if his abusers where male or something, he sure don’t seem to trust them. I know my husband would never do anything to harm the cat, and my husband knows if he were he’d sign a death wish.
Otis is getting old, but boy is he sassy. Today we came home and I went straight to the office. He followed me in there. After a few minutes of the meowing and pawing at me. So I tried petting him, then he runs under my keyboard, so I decided to start working on homework. Wow I saying homework in every post lately. Otis came back to me after a couple of minutes and did, his annoying meow, the one that’s pay attention to me but I am going to make you have to work to give me attention. Isn’t it amazing cats want attention and they think you gotta earn petting them. Well I got him after a few minutes of his meowing and pawing my legs I figured I was going no where fast with studying. So I pulled him up in my lap and hugged him, and nuzzled with him for a few minutes. Then he laid in my lap for about 3 pages of reading and decided he had to dig his back paw in my knee while jumping down.
I have got to find my fake pearls I used to put on his tail loosely and let him chase it around in circles it funny to watch him. Like he trying to figure out what’s attached to his butt, and then he runs in a circle.. I know mean, I don’t do it to often.
Speaking of pearls, I would love to get a bracelet of freshwater pearls for special occassions.

I wish my cat could talk

Otis has been very vocal lately. I will have to admit that I haven’t been exactly paying much attention to him the last week. I have kind of got in a rut of just doing homework and not much more. I used to play with Otis every day for a little while, but his cat toys been laying on the floor in different places whenever I look for it. I think he bored. Last night he sleep right above my feet on the coach, I been their for a while, at least he didn’t pick my ankle to lay on.
Otis is a sweet cat, but boy he’s been talking a lot, and getting into things. I had a plastic cover thing for my PSP in my top drawer of my desk. I’d like to know how he opened it and got that out, caught him chewing on it with the door open. My mouse for my computer was done but at least it didn’t move the page I was on in my book. I wish Otis had some closed captioning behind his meow, maybe if I heard him say. Play with me, I bored, I would stop reading and doing homework.
Otis is a old cat, but everyone always comments on his size never his age, he don’t look to old and acts still like a kitty sometimes. Have you ever notices the weird ways they lay this morning I would have loved to get a picture of him. He was laying on his paws, with his hind legs on both sides of the coach.
