Don’t be alarmed but some guest you want to die and quickly. Well I finally called my vet for help. We got Fleas in SD at a hotel, I thought I had those buggers killed and gone. So they are the unwanted guest who don’t want to die. I have given the cat and dog a bath almost weekly, put flea repelent stuff that supposed to kill them. My cat is a walking flea bag, I give him a bath and his water turns brownish from them. If what the vet recommend dont work I am not sure what I will do next. Maybe shave the animals bold.. lol All I know is I am becoming allergic to my pets dander, and my asthma starting to flare more often, I am not to worried I got my allergy meds, which I won’t like taking.
So if bathing the animals, flea crap that goes on their back dont work how likely is the vet stuff gonna work… Well it cost enough, so it better work, or I will ask for a refund!

Well I figured out what Shadow sore was on her chest the other day after we left that one Hotel. The damn dog got freaking fleas. I am allergic to, I have started treating it. Shadow started getting other bad red spots and was chewing on herself and just really restless. It just took one flea to cause trouble for her. If she not clearing up with the red marks by this weekend I will call the local vet here and get her in.. So the hotel we stayed at that I broke out at and we thought might have bedbugs we found out it was Fleas. So far no bedbugs have shown up. They better not.
I might need to talk to the Pharmacist Jobs here about what I can use that will not cause my asthma issues. The last stuff gave me some issues. Now I have to make sure everything gets several cleans and shadow gets a few more baths. I have had Otis for 16 yrs or so and never got fleas. I have had shadow for 3 years never had fleas and now I stay at a hotel and the dog gets fleas. It was the hotel in SD I do not think we will go there again. Nope not worth it.

Yep you read right I am going to train my cat. My family is moving, and the pets are coming along. Shadow the dog I have no concerns about, she enjoys car rides. Otis is scared to leave the apartment even the balcony is scary. He is finally calming down with the balcony so my next step is to take him out on to the grassy. I am trying to gradually allow him to get used to the outside and things in his surroundings. He a good cat, but he strictly in doors. We are going to be in the car for 3 to 5 days, so it will be unpleasant if I can not get Otis to realize car is not a bad place. I am thinking about using the dogs kennel for Otis because it is bigger, and Otis kennel is tiny and I think he would get cramped in there.
I have no clue how to handle the hotel rooms yet, because Otis does not like being in a Kennel maybe he be okay with the dog. In the car at the last vet appointment Otis seemed to calm with the dog in the back seat with him.
Maybe I should get a casio camera with gps just in case we get lost. Maybe that could find us and get us on the right track. I guess the best thing to do is gradually teach Otis he is okay no matter where we are at.

I am sure my dog and cat on Friday will shed on command. They have a vet appointment, for shots and to make sure the dog is healthy. On Monday the dog has teeth cleaning and other stuff to be done. Otis really seems to be shedding a lot lately, my bedding is horrible, so is the chair he likes to lay in. What I don’t get is I clean it off and it seems like 5 minutes later its just as hairy, I wonder if peacock alley bedding would be better for the cat hair troubles. Everything I been getting for bedding just seems to attract his hair. I guess I better clip the dogs nails along with the cats tomorrow. They need their nails trimmed.
I have to say the last conversation I had with the person at the vets did not make me happy. Oh well, I get what I paid for done and go from there.

Recently my apartment building owners have decided to allow dogs. I am glad they decided to do this, my husband and I have worked hard to make a good impression and we still do. Our dog is a mental health dog, so no matter what she can be with us. Our dog is a good dog and is okay at interacting with other pets, better with people but we working on the animal thing. I should look for some skin care reviews for dogs and cat they both need a bath or something.
Lately the issue with people leaving there dog wast has gotten to be annoying. I really don’t want to pick up another person dogs pooh, sorry pick it up on your own. For a while I was picking up dog waste around the building because I didn’t want shadow blamed. I mean come on the apartment even put cans with dog waste bags up, in a few areas. Is it really that hard to walk over to the waste basket and get a bag and pick up your dogs mess. I know before they put up these handy things, I would come back in and get a bag for cleaning up shadow mess.
I am annoyed with this dog owner because they are pretty much taking my husband and my hard work and flushing it down a toilet in a matter of a short time. It took us 2 years to see them accepting dogs in the apartment complex. I wonder how long before we are all punish because of one lazy resident that does not want to pick up their dog pooh. I should offer the apartment management to pick up the mess if they take off money for rent.

So far the only hard thing has been getting him to take his meds and the smell of his potty times. He deserves a nice commercial playground equipment just for him to run and climb on. Otis has another vet appointment for his teeth Tuesday gonna be a very long day on Tuesday. Otis has sticky stuff on his fur, so I might decide to give him a bath soon, so his hair doesn’t get to clumpy. He a long hair cat, so when his hair gets messy and gets mats in it its hard to brush it of him

Okay I think I wrote about the struggles of getting dads dog in the apartment a couple of years ago. We fought to close to 2 months until we finally contacted our corporate offices. I did a little threaten, because dad had a doctor note for the dog and management had the nerve to tell me had they knew that they wouldn’t have accepted him on the lease. At the time dad moved in we knew he would need his dog, but wasn’t sure if placing it in long term foster care would be best. After dad lived with us for 2 weeks we saw, there was a great need for his companion animal. Dad became suicidal on me, and was telling my husband and I often that we took his wife away, his car, his house and now his dog and he pretty much felt life was over for him. When dad first moved in I was up all night often, thank G-d I was not working at the time, I was unemployed for a few months. Finally we got Shadow in, the apartment as a mental health dog.
This week my friend upstairs showed me a newsletter she got over the week. I couldn’t help but feel annoyed that I had to fight so hard for a mental health dog to live with us, who should have been no trouble at all. Well I guess management decided to let dogs be allowed as pets. There are a few breeds not allowed and a couple breads I do not understand why not. Okay, Pitbulls or a dog in that family I understand, they have a history of being aggressive, even though, I feel this is more the fault of the owner and not dog I give them that one. The dog I can not see as needing to be on the not allowed list is a German Shepperd, I grew up with one. They are great dogs, he was a police dog for the railroads but he was loyal and gentle. He never was aggressive with anyone until we got broken into while mom and us two girls where at home. Mom brought us all to the back room and my older sister let the dog for and told Blackie, get him. Black got the guy in the butt when he tried jumping over the fence. I do not remember what happened after that but blackie never hurt anyone after that.. The worst he do is sniff a person and then slobber them. I was mean to that poor dog, and if he was gonna be a naughty dog he would have taken my face of a few times at the age of five. My uncle had a one too when I moved in with Granny. That dog was a good girl to susieque i want to say was her name. That dog was always gentle never aggressive with anyone or animal. She was a great dog, so I don’t get why this breed, and I honestly disagree with it. Susie never attack anyone, except for getting between my x husband and grandma who he was threaten she didn’t growl or anything she got between the two. I seriously think these two dogs where raised by great owners, owners that loved them and cared for them. Did not teach them how to fight unless it was to save the family. Yes they are protective dogs, but any dog with its master is gonna be protective of them. Shadow is even protective of me, if she feel threaten or that this family is threaten I am not sure what she will do. I have seen the calmest best breeds act aggressively when they feel their owners or families are threaten. I would expect this even my cat would and has acted to protect me, when a creep tried to get into my apartment over 10 years ago.
I believe my husband and I made the way for other dogs to be allowed in the building, or maybe its because when people ask me the steps to get allowed I tell them. How I went about it, so maybe management is being forced to do so but I doubt it. I am so glad they are allowing it. A couple weeks ago I had a developmentally delayed kid cry, when he saw shadow, because he had to lose his dog. I felt annoyed with this and told him to tell his mom his medical doctor or someone could help with that. I don’t know pets become a important part of a family structure, Shadow is important to me and my family. I am glad she allowed now with out a fight, and that other residence do not have to lose there beloved pets because their lease says no dog. I wonder how many people will need the fitness equipment if they have dogs to walk. I guess I better start socialization training with Shadow. She likes to bark at other dogs, and doesn’t exactly have the best manners with dogs. I guess my little Muslim scream neighbors are going to be very happy to have more dogs to yell at, for nothing. I get it dogs are not clean but hey I am not eating them. My husband felt a size restriction would have been better, than a breed restriction. I wonder if anyone gonna get a big dog that not on the Oh no list that maybe should be.

Well the snow is now deeper then the dog, and she is not to happy about the idea of going outside in the snow. I can not blame here, she seems to go very fast potty. Wow I just tuned on the tv, and they’ve closed church activities, so I guess we do not have to feel bad about our Rabbi deciding to cancel services yesterday. I went outside this morning to put money on the laundry card and well we got a good amount of snow out there, had maintenance not made a path to the community room, I am sure I wouldn’t have gotten in there, the snow comes well above my knees now. Be fun to take the dog out later today, she’ll just go on the sidewalk where its been shoveled, it seems during the winter time the only place she’ll go.
Yesterday when I took shadow out she took one look outside and tried turning around with tucking her tail. She tucks her tail when ever she doesn’t want to do something, or is simply a unhappy pup. Maybe I should wrap her up in some plus size lingerie with her coat, might keep her warmer. I have to say she been doing very good at going outside, and not having accidents in the house.

I love my pets they are great animals. Shadow our dog, is a pig, she is like; I will eat my, and than yours and then beg for more food. she is a chunky little dog. I will beg for things that aren’t even food, or good for me. Last week she didn’t want to eat her food, and I am wondering if maybe Shadow just didn’t like the food being open for over a month. She tends to not want to eat towards the end of her bag of food but she will eat the cat food. I have caught her a couple of times getting into the cat food place. Poor kitty, lost some weight since Shadow moved in, Shadow would thinktea tree oil for acne is good to eat.
I will need to look at Wal-Mart or Target for container that will hold 8 pounds of dog food and 5 or 6 pounds of cat food maybe they would like there food more if it tasted fresher.
Shadow is a happy dog, and the cat is happy. They like talking when they want attention.

Yesterday my husband called and lift me a message on my cellphone. There as a fire in our apartment building right next door to us. He was able to get dad, him and the dog out safely but could not find the cat. The fire was contained. Well I tried calling him thinking the fire contained would mean about 2 hours later they should have let him in. Well I got concerned and rather pissed off my cat was left in a burning building. So I drove as quickly as possible with being safe. I found myself going 50 miles a hour on a 35 mile a hour road and decided okay. First there is nothing I can do to save my cat if the fire has spread, secondly they wouldn’t let me into the building anyways. Third well they where out of the building so my husband and his dad where safe and everything in the apartment is replaceable except the cat. I am very attached to Otis. You know I didn’t care if I lost stuff but boy I was upset at the thought of losing Otis. I have had Otis for many years we have been through a lot together. He was my guard cat when I lived in a high rise protected me from some shady creep. He was there when my lowest time happened, and I couldn’t help but worry about the fire spreading, or getting out of control and coming home to no home and my beloved little guy gone.
Well I got home, and saw that it was out, and that damage was not as bad as I thought it could have been. The fire department arrived quickly. You know the fire alarms here go off often, we have gotten to the point of ignoring them. My husband at first ignored it until he heard what he thought at first was wind, and dad thought he heard running water, this is what made them realize what something is wrong here. I am glad that it happened on a weekday, and that my husband was home with dad. I think I would have freaked out if i could not find my father in law. I will say, I think my family will be less likely to ignore a fire alarm in the future. Yes for every 10 fire alarms that go off it seems only maybe 1 is the real thing.
I am glad to say no one was hurt. The worst that happened is a couple of apartments had bad property damage and I hope my neighbors have good insurance. I did find out yesterday what my insurance would cover and I feel a lot better knowing if we ever need it we have it. Something I think would be good to do is make a inventory of all the things of value in the apartment. There are something that will never be replace but if we have a inventory of what we have it easier to get the Insurance company, and it easier to figure out how much help you will end up needing to get back to where you were.
I can be at peace for now. No one was hurt only one cat that i know of got wet but you know i bet the owner would rather have a wet cat, then a dead cat.
