Just Pass Me By

This weekend we was driving behind some guy for quite a while, he did a great job for about 60 miles. Suddenly he started driving erratic, my husband wanted me to pass him but I didn’t want to pass him. I figured he was driving fine for quite a while, and maybe something was wrong with him. Nothing was wrong with him, later he got off a exit and we saw why his driving had changed so drastically. He was talking on the cell phone. Now I have no problem with people who are talking on their cell phone, if they can drive safely and pay attention to the road. Frankly if you can not do this you should not be talking on the phone, because a car going to kill someone a lot faster than not speaking to a friend. I understand some people need to speak on the phone while driving and I often talk on the phone, but I stay in my lanes. If you’re driving and talking and not you lane or you go into another lane this is going to cause a accident. I am glad the guy was just simply talking on his phone and wasn’t having a crisis.
Cell phones are a good thing but they are not the best thing to have in the car at times. I personally like the hand free capability of my phone, because it allows me to wear an earpiece and answer the phone through that device. I like it a lot. Maybe our next trip should be for hubby to take a
Forex training seminars so he can learn about trading. Not that he would want too, but he always trying something new. He a bright man, I do most of the driving because I simply don’t like his driving and I am normally a very nervous passenger.

It’s time to renew my tabs on the car, and I don’t even want to open the envelop because I know it going to be expensive. I am glad I have a newer car, it great. I do not have to worry about breaking down often, or being nickel and dimed to death because the car decides now is a great time to break down. Since having the car, I have only broken down once, and that was the thermostat and had to replace the 2 front tires and will need to replace the back tires this month too. I might put it off until next month, or else I will do the tabs next omonth. I have until the 10th to pay it, as long as I do not go t0o far away from home or run into a policemen in a bad mood. Normally in MN they give a 10 day grace period. Honestly I much rather buy me a nice pair of
merrell shoes, or something and not pay for the tabs. The nice thing about the DMV office here I never have a long wait and they are always nice to deal with, I do not think I have ever ran into a unpleasant person there yet.
My 2 back tires are bad so I think for safety I might need to replace those, and not the tabs this month. At least my insurance is not to much more then on the old van. So this car has saved me a little money, and boy I really do like it. I think I will always be a Kia fan.

The last couple of days on my way to work I am starting to wonder if my car is invisible. I do not get it, everyday I go to my job in the cities I get cut off or just about ran over by someone running the same stop sign. Same one that’s been there for a long time since I have moved in the area. I am sure it’s been there since before this because it a stop sign for a highway off ramp. At least no one was in the other lane and I was able to move over quickly. I wonder what the spirometers would have ranked my breathing as, because I held my breath for a few minutes.
It is amazing, how people in big cars feel the need to run lights or stop signs when they have a smaller car, I am sorry I do not feel like having any accidents or being killed by someone who being a idiot.

Today I was a little frustrated with traffic. This is putting it nicely. Just seemed like no one wanted to drive nicely or in their lane. For some reason they thought it would be nice to make me squishy with them. At least I avoided any accidents, better then yesterday when I ran over a stupid squirrel. I like to know why squirrels think they can out run a car. Normally I am able to avoid them. Today on my way home, traffic was a lot better, the only interesting thing I saw was a guy hauling a hot top with no
hot tub covers man the thing was as big as one of the lanes of traffic, it was huge. Someone going to be lucky but I am not sure right now I would want to be in a hot tub maybe a tub of ice would be nice.
There is so much construction around our area that driving sometimes is not pleasant. When all you want to do is pass a person going 20 miles in a 35 mile zone its frustrating to be down to one lane.

Lately I have noticed a lot of people on their phones, leaning over to the passenger side seat. Now I do not mind if people are the phone if they know how to drive while talking or whatever they are doing. What bugs me more than cell phones talking and dumb driving is when people are driving while watching tv, why do you need to see someone in lingerie or on tv while driving. Do we really need the tv that much. I can understand talking on the cell phone but tv seriously you can’t just record it and then watch it when you’re not driving.
I can not tell you how many times I have always been hit by someone on their cell phone or how many times I have to take action to keep out of an accident. The cell phone is not that important unless you can drive while talking.
Seems like the shorter my commute is the dumber drivers are.

This morning on my way to work I this person driving so closely behind me I think she was trying to see if her car could fit into my tail pipe. Good thing I did not need to do any sudden stopping or my car would have been good for outdoor décor . What bugs me is how close people drive, I drive the speed limit or better. I made my lane change and they went speeding by me, at least it wasn’t slippery out, because they probably would have caused a mess.
We have had a lot of rain the last couple of days, at least this morning the roads where not as wet as they have been. I made it safely to work but goodness give your self enough time to get to work or where ever so you don’t have to try to drive into someones tailpipe.
People have gotten ruder it seems and less caring about others.

Ever notice that drivers who car are all crashed up and looking like a mess with all the dents and dings seem to drive like they want to make everyone car look like theirs. My husband and I went to a few places and by the time we was heading to the last place of the night, I started wondering if we would make it home in on piece. I wasn’t so sure because it seemed everyone wanted to drive into my car. I have a 2002 car so we know that not going to be fun to deal with if they crash it up, and I am betting their insurance isn’t going to cover the damages they cause to us. They might have to go out and do a job search for a better paying job.
At one place I was in the parking lot heading to my car and there was this guy blocking me and 2 other cars in. I am not going to say anything then he tried to get into the space next to me and almost hit the car one space over, I didn’t want to move because at least if I am parked and he hits my car, it’s going to be clearly his fault and not my fault because I would be parked going no where.
Thankfully he didn’t hit neither one of us and I got out of the parking lot relatively safely. We did make it home safely, even with the last dumb person not wanting to let me lane change into her lane.

Man talk about some pot holes now since the snow is starting to melt and boy some of those potholes are bad. My car needs a bath badly I think once it gets drier outside I will probably take it in for a bath. So far I haven’t had any accident or anything happen to my car with the way people drive. Lets see the city I work in decided until April no parking on the even side of the road. I thought parking would be a lot worst but it actually been pretty good by work. I park in the garage at home, but my car is so dirty.
I am going to have to find a one a day vitamin because I been so tired lately for no reason. Well maybe I am staying up to late. One thing for sure with all the pot holes around it be hard to fall asleep while sleeping. It will be nice once these potholes are fixed because it can’t be good on the car to be hitting everything.

We have had a pretty snowy winter this year, boy I love global warming. I do have to admit I was laughing this morning, we had about 2 inches of snow, and I was watching a 4 wheel drive truck having more troubles then my little Kia Reo Cinco was having on the roads. However I did get stuck in my parking space at work and that took some patience and rocking back and forth but I finally got out and decided I had better get some gas on my way home.
Today there weren’t many dumb drivers on the roads, and people where actually watching what they where doing which I am glad because it means they might have learned something. I was able to drive at least 35 miles an hour and no faster today everywhere including the highways. I lift work early because of the snow and over staffing issues. Which is to be expected in the winter time. I am almost tempted to look at Springfield homes for sale, I am so tired of snow and more snow. I have never liked winter not even as a kid. I think G-d just made me warm blooded and I like warmth better then the cold.

To night on our way home, we ran into a few crazy drivers, the most amazing one was the one who figured she could back up to lane change. She had no signal on and almost hit me, I wonder who fault that would have been, if she was backing up and I was unable to avoid hitting her. I was only going 35MPH so I was able to react and be wise. The others was someone trying to stop in front of me for no reason, one being followed by a police man, driving on the wrong side of the road on a 4 lane street. That one I moved over to the right side of the road and slowed down, because I wanted to be out of the way, for the police and boy I was hoping the guy wasn’t going to do something stupid.
It would be unpleasant to have been late home because of some crazy driver. To bad crazy drivers can be gotten rid of like getting rid of blackheads. On my way home hubby told me he appreciated my driving. We all know if I am driving we are safe because I have learned both offensive and defensive driving. The thing I have never been able to figure out when you try to allow people to merge in they don’t want to but know if you don’t want to let them and your going speed they try very hard to get into the same place your occupying.
